Revenue & Cost Management Analyst

Accounting

We are looking for an analytical professional to assist our accounting department and take responsibility for maintaining accurate standard costs in the ERP system and for the processes necessary to accurately account for the cost of goods sold and to handle cash applications and collections effectively and efficiently.

About the vacancy

Cost Accounting Responsibilities:

 

· Cost Analysis and Reporting. Analyzing actual costs against planned or historical costs, reporting variances, and providing recommendations for cost management.

· Cost Accounting Systems. Developing and maintaining cost accounting systems and processes.

· Product Costing. Determining the cost of goods sold, including direct and indirect costs.

· Cost Reduction and Improvement. Identifying areas for cost reduction and improvement and recommending strategies for cost-effective operations.

· Reporting and Analysis. Preparing reports for management on cost trends, variances, and profitability analysis.

· Month-End and Year-End Closing. Participating in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations and audits.

 

Cash Management Responsibilities:

 

· Cash Management: Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

· Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted in a timely manner.

· Collections: review Customer accounts, payments, credit history, and collect on past-due invoices.

· New Account Set-up. Process new customer credit applications.

· Act as a back-up to customer billing.

· Assist in answering/directing incoming calls.

· Ad hoc.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

· High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

· Detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

· Strong communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.

· Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets.

· Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

· Prior cost analysis experience is preferred.
